Have you ever had a dream, one that was so prominent in your mind that you could taste it? I think we have all had those dreams but what sets some people apart are the Do-ers and the Dreamers.
The Do-ers grab the Bull by the Horns and say "I can do that" where the dreamers think "wouldn't that be great". The Do-ers find out as much knowledge as they can and absorb it like a sponge where there Dreamers are "to busy" or find some other excuse.
I think photography puts people in either one category or the other. They either really want to be good at it and seek out how to become good at it, where the Dreamers buy a huge camera, with no idea how to use it, set it on Auto or Presets then hope for pot luck that something works out.
I have seen so many "average" photos out there lately with the subject out of focus and the author is happy with the result and am guilty of telling the author that the shots are really good. I think that photography is so subjective that no one has the right to take down anyone else's photos.
I am both a Dreamer and a Do-er and neither one is right. What is right is to enjoy what you do and if it give you immense happiness, then you are a winner either way.
So - are you a Dreamer or a Do-er?
