Passion - the type that makes your eyes pop!

I love seeing passion in people no matter what it is they are talking about.  You know what I mean.  Its when you are having a conversation with someone and they start talking about something that genuinely excites them.  The topic may not be your cup of tea but to watch their eyes start to widen and they start to talk faster and they become "bright", its an awesome site.

I was reminded of this the other night when I went to a photography lecture from someone that was introduced as a "character".  Well a character she was and she went into great detail about how she made the photos she has currently in an exhibition which was everything from sitting in a dark cupboard with a pen light attached to a piece of string to stringing up a dead bird.

This is where the passion came into it.  Now playing with dead birds is not really something that I am into in anyway, but when someone asked her how did she get these beautiful wings to lay right she just came out with "well you would not believe it - down the beach, there was the most beautiful perfect set of wings that had been left by a cat.........." and this is where her eyes really began to bulge and she was just vibrant.

It was at this time  (while cringing thinking about the hours of placement of said set of wings for the photo) that I was reminded that although it was not my cup of tea, the passion and excitement in her eyes when she talked about her collection of dead birds she uses for her photos, is something we should all strive to achieve.  Okay - the subject may differ ( a lot) but - what makes your eyes bulge and you start to brighten up when you talk about something?  Her brightness made me smile and that was just lovely.

Make it your journey on this earth to find something - no matter what it is, that when you start to talk about it, your eye pop with pure passion.  When you find it - we would love to know what it is.

now i have tweaked your interest, here is the web page with the photos.  Enjoy as I know she did shooting them.  http://www.ollie7.com.au/
